Why does chronic kidney failure appear hyperkalemia?

Excessive intake of potassium, including potassium rich foods and fruits, such as oranges, watermelons, bananas, melon seeds, a large number of potassium containing drugs, enter a large inventory of blood and so on. The excretion of potassium reduced, including kidney disease factors, partly because the application of some drugs with potassium sparing effect, such as the application of potassium sparing diuretics (such as spironolactone, amiloride, triamterene), ACEI drugs (such as Kato Pury, Benner Pury, etc.) and ARB drugs (such as Losartan Potassium Tablets). In the presence of excessive acidosis, hydrogen ions can exchange intracellular potassium ions into the extracellular fluid by exchanging potassium ions with the cells, resulting in hyperkalemia.
Hyperkalemia is a common complication in patients with chronic renal failure. It is also an important cause of sudden death in patients with chronic renal failure. Mainly manifested in the toxicity of myocardial and skeletal muscles. The effect of blood potassium on cardiac muscle cells is manifested as bradycardia and arrhythmia, and severe cardiac arrest can occur. Reduce the excitability of skeletal muscle of hyperkalemia, serum potassium concentration was 7mmol/L, the patient feels soft paralysis, numbness of limbs, torso first, after limbs, finally affect respiratory muscle, asphyxia.
Some traditional Chinese medicine Bushen such as Achyranthes root, Cistanche, Cynomorium and other long-term use will rise hyperkalemia. Traditional Chinese medicine such as diuretic swelling Poria, Polyporus, Alisma, Plantago can reduce blood potassium.
